3-6-11 Orchard Work Day

The rain held off as promised, and an intrepid group managed to prune most of the peaches, and to spread more mulch.  If you have not seen the orchard lately, be sure to check it out.  As always, it remains a work in progress, just like our orchards at home.

Karl with his saw.  A major lesson of the day, was to use the saw first.  Make your major cuts right away so you don’t have to make so many cuts.  And, if you have to question the cut, just do it.  Stop thinking about it so much.  With an orchard of this size, too much emotion just gets in the way!
